St. John's Yearly Calendar of Events
Sunday Worship: 8 A.M. & 10:30 A.M.
*Nursery care provided for Sunday mornings in 1st floor Administrative Building child care center, 10:15 – end of service
Casual Wednesday Morning Eucharist Service @ 10:30 a.m. in the 2nd floor parlor
Wednesday Mornings: 11 a.m. Hook & Needle group meets: for those who knit, crochet, embroider, etc.
Thursday Mornings: 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. Coffee and Casual conversation meets at River and Rails Bakery at Heritage Station downtown (next to Pullman on
3rd Ave.) This is a drop-in event and folks from all three Episcopal Churches attend plus friends from other churches at times.
1st Sunday Brunch: A delicious brunch for everyone who attends our 10:30 service is offered on the 1st Sunday of the month, in the parish hall. No need to cook – this delicious breakfast will be prepared for you by our SJH chef Alicia. Great day to invite your friends and family to church!
Mid-Month Wednesday Dinner: This is a monthly dinner prepared for us on the 3rd Wednesday of each month by Alicia. Come from work or home without needing to bring anything to the dinner! This event is open to our members and friends but also to the community. Programming is often as follows:
5:47 Dinner is served, Bon Appetite!
6:20 The meal is wrapped up. You are welcome to head home or stick around for:
- A Service activity, craft, or fun game.
- Formational Classes (EFM may leave earlier, Adult Ed, etc.)
- An Outreach Information lecture/meetings (Outreach, vestry, others)
7:20 We will close the evening with a short Compline
1st Tuesday of Each Month: New Generations Supper club meets at a local restaurant on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30. This is open to all members, guests, friends. Keep an eye out for the next months restaurant, bring your family and friends, and pay your own bill. Its a fun casual way to spend time with each other.
Bi-monthly Book Club on the 1st Thursday of every-other Month: Book Group meets to discuss a wide range of novels. You don’t have to come to each meeting to enjoy this group. Come when you can, even if you didn’t finish the book, you’ll enjoy the fellowship and discussion!
3rd Tuesday of each Month: Gabriel Project offers diapers, wipes, formula, and some limited pantry items to the parents and guardians of Headstart and our community each month. We set up in the lobby of our administration building (next to the elevator) from 8 to noon. We always need volunteers, just email us at email@example.com to join us.
